  • Hosted during the school year months. 2x/month. One event is in-person and the other is virtual.

  • In-person is typically on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Sidney Daswick & Mary Anne Barno lead in Central Valley).

  • Virtual is via Zoom on Mondays at 5:00 PM (Hosted by Mary Anne Barno & Brandi Wentland)

  • The group was started over 27 years ago by Dr. Caroline Musselwhite and Deanna Wagner, M.S., CCC-SLP. Out and About is a community group for people who use Alternative/Augmentative Communication (AAC), including their families, friends, therapists, and mentors. It is an inclusive group of all ages, using any communication device or language system to help them speak. We meet once a month in the community and typically visit local restaurants, coffee shops, marketplaces, hiking, and more. We also try to meet virtually that same week as well! We ask that whoever brings the participant, stays for the duration of the event as it is for everyone and not a drop-off type of event. At the beginning of each month, we will send out an invite from outandabout@therapyone.com (make sure to check your spam folder) with more information. Please make sure to RSVP as space is limited.
